Help windows have different styles in different versions. Win98 uses a window with two panes. In the left pane you see the three tabs: Contents, Index, and Search. The tabs stay in view on the left while the topics appear on the right.

How Help Works
Clicking a document name opens that document in the right pane. The left pane remains unchanged. You do not need to double-click. Having the list remain open is a big advantage if you are
hunting through a number of topics or search results. The window has a toolbar of buttons at the top.
